this program will be based on hands on training and the duration for this practical class will last for 2months so every week i am going to be giving you a simple step by step demonstrations on how to work in the arcGIS environment.

HOW TO LUNCH ARCMAP AND ASSIGN COORDINATE SYSTEM (UNIVERSAL TRANSVERSE MERCATOR)

  Launching of ArcGIS Start your computer search for ArcMap program and double click on the ArcMap software to launch. Figure 1 Launching of ArcMap Importation of Map Ø   Left click on file and scroll down to Add data it will bring out an interphase. Ø   Select Connect to folder and select the location of the folder in the computer where the map was saved. Ø   Then selected the data needed and clicked on add. (KASU imagery was selected and added) Ø   The ArcGIS notify the following data you add are missing spatial reference information then click on yes.
